Although some consumers and even those in the industry have christened the LG Voyager as the ‘iPhone Killer’, and if you’re into that sort of thing, then let us say that although it is not an ‘iPhone Killer’, it is definitely an iPhone competitor, or at the very least, an iPhone alternative.

In some ways the LG Voyager definitely surpasses the iPhone, and then in other comparisons it merely matches the Apple product. Unfortunately for the LG Voyager, the built-in WiFi capabilities are severely lacking - however it does make available many features that the iPhone does not have, such as an integrated GPS application, stereo Bluetooth, multimedia messaging and 3G support.

The LG Voyager is actually a rather bulky phone, however the overall handling and design is much better than its predecessors, the VX9900 and the enV. The touch screen displays animation and graphics with sharp colors and it’s a significant improvement when compared to the relatively small displays on the enV and the VX9800. In general, navigating through the phones various menus is relatively easy and even pleasing. Since a firm touch is required in order to select an option, there aren’t too many instances where a button was pressed accidentally, or even incorrectly.

With a full QWERTY keyboard, the LG Voyager has one of the best examples of a cell phone keyboard available today. The keys are a little larger than normal and the arrangement is really intuitive and useful for how people actually type.
